Mike is responsible for Landbridge Australia’s activities. He has over 30 years of experience in international oil, gas and infrastructure. Originally from the UK, Mike spent 10 years in South East Asia building and running the South East Asian operations of integrated global energy company Hess Corporation. He later moved to Australia as the Gas Supply Director for Santos Limited’s Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas (GLNG) project.
Mike joined Westside in 2013 as MD and CEO. Following Landbridge’s acquisition of Westside in 2014 he also became Managing Director of Landbridge Australia. Having recently taken on the role of Chairman of Westside Mike has relinquished the CEO position while continuing as Managing Director of Landbridge Australia. Mike brings a wealth of commercial, operating and project development experience to Landbridge.
Amy joined Westside Corporation in February 2014 when it was listed on the ASX. Following Landbridge’s acquisition of Westside in late 2014 Amy continued as General Counsel and Company Secretary for Westside and also became Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for Landbridge Australia. In these roles Amy acted on the acquisition of the lease of Darwin Port, the bid for the luxury Darwin Hotel and negotiation of the operatorship with Westin. Amy stepped away from the Westside General Counsel role in September 2019 and took up directorship of Westside Corporation until March 2020. Amy continues in her role as Group General Counsel for Landbridge Australia.
Amy is a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in-house and in private legal practice at top-tier firms in Australia and the United Kingdom. During the course of Amy’s career she has advised on corporate law and governance, energy and resources law, contracts, insurance litigation, financial services and taxation.
Matt was appointed to the position of CEO of Westside Corporation in 2019 and is responsible for the overall growth and management of Westside’s people and operations.
Matt joined Landbridge in 2017 as Chief Commercial Officer. He has over 20 years of experience in international energy. His career has included executive roles at Santos and the ExxonMobil PNG LNG project. He has a deep knowledge of major project development, the CSG to LNG value chain and its interplay with Australian and International markets.
Darren is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Darwin port. Darren has longstanding and varied experience in port supply chain operations in general cargo and bulk logistics, most recently working as the General Manager in Bunbury for the Southern Ports Authority. In this position, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of new port masterplans.
In his role as the General Manager of CITIC Pacific Mining and the Cape Preston Port Company, Darren developed and managed a new operational bulk loading port for the $12 billion Sino Iron project in the Pilbara. Darren has also held positions as the Regional Manager of P&O Automotive and General Stevedoring and Queensland Bulk Manager for P&O Ports. He has extensive experience in asset utilisation, port commissioning, stakeholder management and new business development.
